💦🍑🔥OUR ZINE IS HERE! Come and join us for the launch of our "Asian Women Talk About..." zine in collaboration with at .goods ‼️

“Asian Women Talk About...” were a series of casual zine workshops hosted by your favourite aunties from Migrant Zine Collective and Creative Creatures in 2021. Driven by a burning desire to decolonise, defetishise and delete the patriarchy, we bring to you this publication co-created with all our amazing participants!

We held a series of four workshops
aiming to explore, dissect and celebrate the experiences of pan-Asian communities connected to the Whau region. These workshops offer a space for pan-Asian folk of all ages to unpack the racialised and gendered barriers which impact their everyday lives. Topics we explored included food; sustainability; dating, s*x and love; and reimagining feminist futures.

This zine showcases the voices of predominantly Asian migrant women in Aotearoa, as a space to share, unpack and release our pent up emotions. As a collective, we represent
a group of Asian women in community organising, activism, theatre and the arts. We centre our approach towards our lived experiences of racism, patriarchal oppression and misogyny.

This project would not be possible without the funding of Whau Community Arts Brokering - we thank the board for this opportunity.
