I owe D&AD pretty much everything. From the way the workshops back in the ‘80’s embraced and inspired me, to the lessons and learnings from the pages of the hallowed annuals, to sharing and sharpening of thought from the judging, to the pencils themselves which somehow elevated me and the people around me who made the work. I owe D&AD. As an ambassador, I have the chance to give back. I hope I can deliver. So this is my first post, as the 2026 D&AD Awards approach. I will share more. If you entered, good luck, it’s a tough show, if you win - wow! Congratulations. When the dust settles after the show is done, the real learnings and inspiration can begin. It’s a great way for our little country at the bottom of the world to be seen. Here’s a link to next week’s festival, if you have a mo, check it out, it could be the start of an incredible journey https://www.dandad.org/festival Nick.

The bad news, 15% of Australians hated our latest bit of work.
The good news, 85% loved it.

Every quarter Cubery asks Australia a question:
Think of an ad you’ve seen on TV or online in recent months that really stuck with you —whether you loved it or hated it. What brand was it for/describe it.

Westpac’s Double You campaign made the Hot List, which is pretty epic I guess, more epic perhaps is the increase in brand consideration, which Westpac described as massive.

Massive too, are our thanks to Michael Spiccia, Scoundrel, FATHOM, Spark Foundry Media, Assembly, Westpac…and BMF Australia for their help with the rollout.

It was fun making it, and I think punters can tell.
Apologies to the 15%, we will try harder next time.

There’s never been a better time to drop in to The Tuesday Club for a coffee.

Aotearoa’s 2026 Coffee Brewers Championship goes live from this Friday through Saturday, 8-5, free entry.

Do you think they’d go crazy if we ask for an English Breakfast tea. Eeek.

What a weekend.

We’re honestly blown away by how special the BurgerFuel Motorhead Bike Show turned out to be. Such an incredible crowd — everyone getting involved, from demos and tattoos in the workshop, to documentary viewings in our media suite, BBQ and bikes out on the street, engine start-ups, and motorcycles across the gallery… we couldn’t have asked for more.

A huge thank you to everyone who contributed - exhibitors, sponsors, artists, tutors and crew, and to everyone who came down (even in the rain). You truly made it what it was.

The biggest thanks of all goes to legend Al Submachine Magazine who inspired the vision from the start. It’s been an honour for us at TTC to help bring this show to life.

Roll on 2027.

Shoutout to Kyle Melnyk for capturing the weekend so well.

Bringing the ink and more to the Motorhead Bike Show, we caught up with Cristiana Bugatti Realistic Tattoos, Auckland based biker, tattoo artist and art therapist, ahead of her live sessions this weekend…

How did your motorbike + tattoo passion begin?
🏍️ "Started in 2011 on the back of a Harley in Eastern Europe — one trip and I was hooked. I bought my first bike before I even had a licence and never looked back. Since then, it’s been Harleys, road trips, and a couple of loyal Sportsters (plus a project bike: Purple Monster).

🖋️ Tattooing began during my Fine Art degree in Milan, studying the body as a site of expression. That’s when it clicked: helping people tell their stories through ink, honouring the history and ritual of tattooing."

🤘Give us a sneak peek, what are you bringing to The Tuesday Club?
"Not just tattoos, but art as connection. A conversation through skin, story, emotion and passion."

These are just a few of the flash sheets. More available at the show. Cash preferred.
