They say weaving is 90% preparation, but our August hui proved it’s also 100% heart. ❤️

From the massive 'star-pattern' breakthroughs that felt like climbing Everest, to the pure alchemy of turning harakeke offcuts into translucent paper and natural clay pigments—this month’s kōrero was pure creative energy.

We didn't just talk technique; we dove deep into the 'why':

✨ The ethics of teaching and passing on indigenous knowledge.

✨ Navigating cultural reconnection and whakapapa through our craft.

✨ Bridging histories, from Irish knot-work to Māori weaving.

Whether we’re in a ‘cocoon’ phase or pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with our whenu, this space remains our anchor. Proud of everyone who shared their journey, their struggles, and their triumphs this month.
