Coming soon on Amplified, our tip of the hat to an absolute legend of the NZ music scene, Bill Lattimer.
I first met Bill when he had his music shop in Newton, Bungalow Bills Music Store and I was running a wholesale paint shop around the corner.
I'd escape into his shop for hours and now he's around the corner in his new shop, Bungalow Bills Secondhand Music Store, I still call in to visit him whenever I'm up in Auckland.
Bill also set up The Lab Recording Studio, NZ and can take some credit for some of our most seminal music.
A reluctant hero, Bill agreed to let me interview him and tell some yarns about his part in the music scene as he sees it and the yarns he tells....
I'm not going to spoil it, just stay tuned while I get to work on this show, but it's going to take me a couple of weeks.
