So I know I said I had no time for crafting with a new baby in the house. Turns out I had just enough time to squeeze out a test knit for Agasalhos e Bugalhos® Knitting Patterns by Sandra Magalhães of her Jacinto Baby Dress - pattern launching at the end of June. This one is knit in the round in a size 9-12m and I absolutely love the icord feature around the waist, neckline, and arm holes.

The reason why this commission has taken a bit longer than anticipated - that 29-week bump in the top corner there. Determined to blend up the final little bit tonight and then get my spin on tomorrow. Thank you, lovely Laura, for being so very patient with me!

A scrap yarn to new yarn custom order. Still a heap to process but think I have a much faster process under my belt thanks to a combo of the drum carder and the blending board. Couple hundred grams more to blend and rolag and then it’s spinning time!

First ever attempt at rolags! Black alpaca from Featherston with some lovely colourful Corriedale. Nearly lost some to a too-tightly-wound first rolag but by the end we were humming! Can’t wait to try spin these.

My goal for 2026 is to try new techniques, new crafts, and use my studio space to its full potential. I’ll be filming my attempts so watch this space next year for a whole lot of trials (and I am sure some errors!) while I dive into some sewing, knitting, spinning, beading, resin art and more!

Designed and had these printed a few years ago now and I still have HEAPS. I’ve pulled one out from the box to use for 2026 to keep track of all my yarny goals, stash and plans to make things for loved ones.

If you’re keen on one, let me know. Since I have so many and probably will only fill a small number in my lifetime… it would be great to see some used by other yarny. If you’d like one, just drop me a DM - $10 each plus shipping.

I am very excited to launch The Spinning Society — a monthly fibre subscription where a new hand-blended art batt (with a little hot drink treat) lands on your doorstep every month. I'd love it if you head on over and have a read about this new creation! Can't wait to get creating for those who join :)

From fibre to finished sweater

This isn’t just yarn - it’s the story of your sweater beginning at the very first spin.

The kit includes 12 hand-carded Corriedale batts (600g total) in a dreamy blend of greens, purples, and soft whites.

Spin your own yarn, then knit or crochet it into a one-of-a-kind sweater that carries your hands in every stitch.

Are you ready to wear what you’ve made from start to finish?

100% Corriedale wool
12 × 50g batts (600g total)
Soft, strong, perfect for sweaters

The more I look at this, the more like candy floss it seems! It’s so soft and lush, and thankfully won’t melt away when wet. This batt has subtle flecks of lilac, various pink shades, and lovely white. It would make such a gorgeous spin, or felting project.

I’ve only made one so if you’re interested, it’s available now over in the Yarn and Spinning section of the website.

Enjoy!

✨ Spring is here, and the colours are calling. ✨

From daffodil yellows to petal-soft pinks and sky-kissed blues with a golden shimmer, each hand-blended Corriedale batt is a little celebration of the season’s return. 🌼🌸☁️

Which shade is speaking to your maker’s heart today? 💛💗💙

All available now in the shop - honestly the photos don’t even do them justice. The blend of colours is so subtle and lovely. Enjoy!
