For a while now, many of us have been asking the same questions — What does AI mean for our wFork? How do we protect our voices? How do we make sure artists are paid fairly?

That is why NZAVA The New Zealand Association of Voice Artists officially exists — and we'd love you to be part of it from day one.
Alongside sibling organisations AAVA, CAVA, and NAVA, we're here to advocate, educate, and protect voice artists across Aotearoa as the landscape shifts beneath our feet.
Our launch event brings together the voice and performance community — plus political party reps from the Greens, Labour, and ACT — to start the conversation that matters most right now.
Drinks. Nibbles. Real talk about the future of our industry.
We'd love to see you there. 🎙️Get your tickets here: https://www.eventbrite.co.nz/e/nzava-launch-tickets-1989624383089?aff=oddtdtcreator&keep_tld=true

⏰ Deadline extended! You have until Monday 1 June, 5pm to apply for our wānanga Takahi Te Ara Whakaari.
Record a 1–2 min kōrero in te reo Māori — tell us about your performing mahi and why this wānanga is calling to you. Fill in the form here: https://forms.gle/29ffrrwEgRHogM3N8🔗
Through practical exercises, participants will work on performance under pressure, deep connection to scene, and the technical demands of both screen and stage. Rather than treating culture and craft as separate disciplines, you will be challenged to let your cultural identity drive truthful, disciplined work. Ka rawe.
