Celebrating local producers at a one-night-only dinner event.🙌

The Market Table brings the people and produce of Matakana Village Farmers’ Market to Brick Bay for a very special evening.

Head Chef Cam Cook will transform ingredients from a handpicked selection of market producers into an original menu created especially for the night.

We’re so lucky to have such incredible growers and producers in our community. Join us as we meet them, celebrate their stories and the care they put into what they do - but most importantly, gather around the table to enjoy their produce in a completely new way.

Friday 11 September, from 6pm
$110 per person | Limited seats available

A final chance to stand with Ngā Manaaki

Anton Forde’s Ngā Manaaki has become one of those works visitors remember long after leaving Brick Bay. Its 44 carved pou speak to manaakitanga, kaitiakitanga and kotahitanga, holding a powerful presence across the hillside.

Brick Bay is an open-air exhibition, and change is part of what keeps the Sculpture Trail evolving. Ngā Manaaki has now been acquired for a private collection and will soon leave the landscape, making way for new work and new encounters on the Trail.

See Ngā Manaaki in its Brick Bay setting while you still can.

Sculpture Trail tickets are $18 per person, with discounted entry when dining at the restaurant. Restaurant bookings are recommended for those joining us for lunch.

Discover a new sound installation by Rob Thorne (Ngāti Tumutumu, Ngāti Tamaterā, Hauraki Tainui) - musician, performer, composer, researcher and academic.

Conceived for the Sculpture Trail, He Rau Porotītiti ki te Whenu Mārama o tētahi Pūngāwerewere invites visitors to slow down and experience the landscape through listening.

At its heart are taonga pūoro, the traditional musical instruments of Māori. These instruments carry deep cultural and environmental relationships, and in this work their sounds are distributed through a sixteen-channel system positioned throughout the ngāhere. As you move, the work shifts - sounds appear to travel, respond and settle within the forest around you.

Rather than a single fixed listening point, the work unfolds differently depending on where you stand, how you move, and the living sounds already present in the landscape.

Following a blessing led by Ngāti Manuhiri, the installation is now part of the Brick Bay Sculpture Trail.

We invite you to experience this remarkable work for yourself - a space for stillness, curiosity and connection with te taiao.

Brick Bay is open 7 days.

✨ A little spring clean is on the way.

We love being open seven days a week, but once a year we need a few days behind closed doors to get stuck into the jobs that are tricky to tackle while we’re busy welcoming guests.

So from Monday 17 – Thursday 20 August, our team will be cleaning, fixing, refreshing and making a few improvements around Brick Bay.

Then it’s back to business as usual. We’ll be open again from 10am Friday 21 August - fresh, clean and ready for the season ahead.

See you Friday. 🌿
