'3D' - A Youth Performing Arts initiative, based at Corban Estate Arts Centre, Henderson, West Auckland. Mentors collectively present a practical and life-skills based approach for 15-24 year olds talented/curious in performance art. All youth that join 3D will move through all 3 disciplines; Singing, Dance/Movement & Acting. There will be opportunities through the year to explore short film-making, scriptwriting and spoken word poetry. This program is free from NZQA constraints, but helps to develop the individual's confidence and communication skills. 3D focuses on developing an awareness and connection to their own unique voice & body - through the platform of performance art. VALUES:
- We want to create safe and open environments for young people to be honest, supported and valued.
- We ask from each other is respect for one another, respect for the property and venue that houses us and of course, respect for oneself.
- This is a challenging but creative journey - full of FUN and personal growth if you open yourself to the possibilities. This is a challenging but creative journey - full of FUN and personal growth if you open yourself to the possibilities. GOALS:
