My hands have been a little lost for things to do, so trying to find balance to add in some hauora and reo into my spare time that has previously been so preoccupied.
Whatu = ora. The whole time this piece was on my stand, I was well. The flu went through the whare and bypassed me every time. Literally the week I finished, my throat itched and the day of handover, my voice was gone and I couldn’t even lead the waiata tautoko 🫠

1. What’s it made of ? Muka ! The fibre inside the leaf of the Harakeke 🤯
2. How long did it take? Incalculable. I would estimate 160hrs of whatu. 40hrs of tāniko. Hauhake, rui, hāro, miro, horoi, patu, waiwai ⏱️⏱️⏱️⏱️⏱️Planning ⏱️⏱️⏱️
