This afternoon, Heather Mitchell AM will take her final bow on our stage after a sold-out season of Sydney Theatre Company's RBG: Of Many, One.

Thank you to Heather Mitchell herself, the director Priscilla Jackman, the playwright Suzie Miller and the entire crew and creative team for bringing this show to our stage. Fabulous to be collaborating with Auckland Live, who made this possible.

Most of all, we want to thank YOU, the audience, for showing up for the arts. 13,401 people have come to see this show, and it is our third sold-out show this year.

We are so humbled to see that there is a very real demand for theatre in this city.

🗣️We need to talk about the acoustics in the theatre. Or we don’t have to – but we want to, as we celebrate 10 Years on Stage at the ASB Waterfront Theatre. We’re deep-diving on what makes our acoustics so special, with Chris Day, founding partner of Marshall Day Acoustics.

Last night, industry colleagues gathered in the ASB Waterfront Theatre to hear lessons we can learn from Broadway. Frances Valintine CNZM, chair of the Auckland Theatre Company Board, hosted a fascinating conversation with Nick Falzon and Yijin Liu. Nick has spent 18 years with Disney Theatrical Group, most recently leading Broadway’s largest commercial sales operation. He oversaw pricing and sales strategy for The Lion King. Much food for thought for the Aotearoa arts community!
