We are UoA's Game Dev club. We provide resources, through workshops and events, that help promote gam

We are club with a mission to provide skills and experience in game development to students, as well as introduce a growing part of the industry to them. We run regular tutorial sessions, encourage members participate and collaborate in competitions, and connect with current companies in the game development industry.

🎮 Showcase Night is almost here! 🕹️

It’s time to submit your games 👀 Whether you’ve been building all semester or just started yesterday, we want to see it!

We’ll also be hosting short optional presentations, so feel free to prepare a few slides or anything you’d like to share about your game.

Join us next Tuesday for an epic seminar on game design and it's parallels to gay s*x (completely safe for work) 🗣️🔥🔥

We'll be exploring the narrative lens used to perceive games, how games are designed, and dissecting even more. You'll come out more knowledgeable on game design and narratives, both as a dev and with a q***r lens. 🥳

This seminar has been incredibly anticipated by our devs, and is equally accessible for anyone to come along to. So don't miss out! 🫵

Brrr, Kiwijam is here! Join the annual biggest weekend-long game jam in Aotearoa, open to anyone and everyone in Auckland! 🥳💚

You'll have 48h to form teams (with students to industry devs) 👯‍♂️, develop your game from scratch with our theme this year (unveiled during our launch) 🤭, and optionally use the MakerSpace to generate a unique hybrid/physical game ⚒️. Make connections 🫂, snack on free kai🍕, and have a blast seeing the chaotic creations that spawn during this tumultuous weekend. 💥

At the end, submit your games onto itch, and we'll let the public and your fellow devs decide if your game is truly worthy to be the most ###x this year (the categories are *always* sus). 🕵️‍♂️🏆
