Comments have been received regarding the intellectual property of collaborative works created by The Arts Menagerie. This includes copyright, protection and ownership of an artist’s work, concepts, projects an
d images generated or communicated within The Arts Menagerie. To make it fair for everyone involved with The Arts Menagerie, we have established the following principles:
1.All ideas expressed in writing, sketches, images, models and samples etc.are shared on a confidential basis and belong to the creator with or without a signed disclosure.
2.All photographs, film and recordings are for personal use only. Rights may not be transferred to a third party or businesses or any other entity. Copyright belongs to The Arts Menagerie and the content belongs to the artist or artists concerned.
3. The Arts Menagerie is not a legal entity, and therefore all events that take place at Chan Andreassend are assumed to be private functions on private property and not subject to any overriding legal conditions as per the NZ Copyright Act 1994.
4.Published images and activities are to make reference to The Arts Menagerie whether in print or social media. Images may have reference to the writer, film maker, photographer, etc. For example Photography by (personal name only) and should not detract from or dominate the image.
