Who's Playing at The Bunker Hill Folk Review?
This is who ---> Jack Landy

Jack Landy:
1: A writer, especially of lyric-poetry. 2: A musician, especially of indie-folk.

Working at sea, busking along narrow lanes in Italy, wandering across the South of France, sitting in bars and working in the docks of Marseille are where Jack Landy's written most of his songs.

They're songs about love, regret, travel.

Who's playing at the bunker?
This is who ---> Aletta

Just over a decade ago Aletta met her future husband Adrian who introduced her to the New Zealand folk music scene. Adrian had grown up around folk music due to his father’s involvement with the Devonport Folk Club and as a regular attendee at various folk music festivals up and down the North Island. It was Aletta’s first festival experience in 2001 at the Tahora Music Festival in Taranaki that gave her an appreciation of the honesty and stripped down simplicity of the music.

For the last 12 months Aletta has been making the rounds at open mic nights at venues like One 2 One Café and The Clare Inn and has been performing back up vocal duties for Cold Harvest Trust, a folk-pop group fronted by Canadian born Andrew Cowie. The band recently recorded and released the 4 track EP New Bones along with an accompanying video for the song Flagships. From the 14th to the 24th of November Aletta will be on stage at The Q Theatre as part of Carly Binding’s backup chorus in the one woman Andrew Lloyd Webber musical Tell Me On A Sunday. Aletta has been busy working through the recording stages of a yet to be named EP with a collection of musician friends including Pam Gallagher, Betty Hung and the uniquely named Ultraman who may all be making guest appearances during her Bunker Hill performance.

Check out the videos below to see her in action.
