DanceVille School of Dance About School:

Danceville is a dance school based in central Helensville, Auckland.

The school provides classes for all ages (from 3+ years) in Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary as well as Adult dance classes. About teacher:

Aims/Goals:

Danceville aims to provide a dance experience to suit everyone! Classes are based around nationally practiced dance syllabi designed to establish and develop dance vocabulary

, musicality, skills and technique. Within this we ensure there is an emphasis on the enjoyment of movement, individual expression, confidence building and a love of DANCE! Students 5+ years will have the option to participate in exams or just enjoy the classes without the intention of sitting an exam. All dancers will have the opportunity to perform in annual showcases which is often the highlight of many childrens dance year.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, after 10 amazing years, Danceville is sadly closing it’s doors 😔💔

We are holding a bit of a ‘garage sale’ tomorrow (Saturday 11th February) at the Scout Hall - behind the library off Porter cres to clear out a few years worth of super random bits and bobs!

Costumes, clothes, art and craft bits and bobs, some light weights/exercise equipment, fabric - too much to even list!

We will be opening the doors from 1pm-5pm (will the whole morning to set up 😂)

Everyone is welcome to pop in for a look ☺️

Danceville is hitting the pause button for the remainder of 2022 💕

It was far from an easy decision, but after a crazy couple of years with the pandemic, family and personal health struggles - Mrs Zoe has made the call to take some time with family (including her new baby arriving ETA 28 April!) for the rest of this year to reset, refresh and come back bigger and better in 2023!

I am feeling so grateful to have spent this term celebrating with our dancers, getting to finally see them dance and get their photos taken in their show costumes, film their routines etc. I think it might be one of my favourite terms EVER - which makes popping things on hold even harder! I'm going to miss every single one of our dancers gorgeous faces for the next few months BUT I know it will fly by and I'm already excited thinking about how fabulous 2023 will be when we get to welcome everyone back!

You can bet I've already chosen next years show theme and started costume design AND am dreaming up all the other exciting plans ... So watch this space!

It's not goodbye, but see you soon! xx
