The great & beloved Sammy Leary, co-founder of the folk club, my beloved, Dad to Tui & Ronan, son of Kate & Tom, brother to Simone, Joseph, Petra, Victor & Ezra, friend to so, so many, great singer, collector, musician, instrumentalist, scholar, historian, entertainer, comedian, artist & kind, warm, wise & beautiful man, passed away peacefully this morning. Big love to all who knew him. Slán go fóill mo ghrá. Solidarity forever 💚

**POSTPONED** Due to a serious dose of the flu we sadly have to postpone Saturday's show **SOLD OUT** The Otherworld: Traditional tunes & stories for Matariki ✨ so disapointing as the band are sounding *amazing* and the evening was shaping up to be magic! Heartfelt apologies from the band and folk club team. We will announce a new date as soon as poor Mark is well again! Thanks so much for your understanding and support. Since it's NZ Music Month: Sammy Leary breathes life into the forgotten corners of our country's musical history. A collector and archivist as well as a performer, he unearths the oft-neglected songs that tell the stories of our colonial past.
