It really takes a village… and I feel that every single term. Different lives, different roles, different pressures, yet my ladies still pull up every week for that one hour. That kind of energy? MEAN MĀORI MEAN! I’m honestly blessed with the best. And you can tell they come from strong, loving villages too - the kind that pour into them so they can come pour into this space with us.

We are excited to introduce the 2026/27 cohort of Young Artists joining the National Opera Studio. These exceptional artists will undergo nine months of intensive training to prepare them for successful careers in today’s opera world.

Our Young Artists receive top-level coaching in music, vocals, and languages, along with training in stagecraft, physical disciplines, and resilience. They will also gain performance experience through masterclasses, livestreamed recitals, concerts in London, and orchestral residencies with our esteemed partner companies.

Training is fully funded, with a monthly performance stipend, additional bursary support, and extra funds for singing lessons and auditions.
