Last week A Fool's Company Community Branch had the joy of visiting the entire Auckland Council Waste Solutions Department for their Mid-Year Away Day to provide some lunchtime bin-tertainment. We performed a shortened version of our show, 'Freddie's Food Scraps Quest' with some extra jokes for the council, and even got Parul, Terry and Rebecca up onstage to help with some characters; wigs, choreography and all!

It was so lovely getting to spend time chatting to the wider team about the shows we have been taking into primary schools over the past year, and to be in a room full of people working towards keeping Tāmaki Makaurau green and clean 💚

We were so grateful for the support and feedback our wonderful colleague Rebecca passed on as she spoke about the importance of using art as a vehicle for education, as well as the reception and giggles we received from the whole team. 🌳♻️🌏

And for anyone out there who is missing getting salty with us..while we have put our beastie baby of a show 'The Wedding' into hibernation (for now👹😉), these clowns have been cooking up the next Latnovian tale for you all. We have already done two story development blocks and are starting our first devising intensive in July for our new show, 'The £ #@&!!' (????). We are so excited to have all the Fools causing chaos in one room together again (with Emily zooming in while completing an arts residency in the UK!).

Keep your ears tuned for the sound of the Latnovian Bells when they usher in a whole new ceremony... Get your salt shakers oiled and ready..🧂🧂🧂

Over the last fortnight, we hard launched the start of our second kids show tour, 'Rae Cycling and the Binfluenza: Operation Green'. Another very silly show for primary schools in Tāmaki Makaurau, this time to help teach our tamariki (and teachers!) what should and should not go into our recycling bins.

A Fool's Company Community Branch happy to be working on another wonderful project with our lovely friends at EcoMatters and Auckland Council's Waste Solutions Department.

This time there are more wigs, even more acro battles and so many more silly jokes.

We also learnt that it is in fact possible to entirely construct costumes, props, and set as well as conducting rehearsals and full runs all from the lounge. Thanks to Georgie's flatmates for letting us cause havoc amongst the laundry.
