EPIC results from the Pottery@Piha Pit Firing workshop at Waygood Foundation, North Piha, with the birds we made last month. It was great having a few new people join in on the day. Success criteria met: no injuries, no blow ups, no cracks, fire under control, fire brigade wasn’t called in, beautiful community camaraderie, awesome results 👏🔥🐦‍⬛ the birds will be waxed and mounted on driftwood and displayed at Piha Schoolhouse Mon 26 Oct 1-3:30pm. Pop by and admire the great results and register your interest for upcoming workshops with Pottery@Piha.

The ever popular Mid Winter Market is on this Sunday (indoor venue) at Auckland Studio Potters 10am-2pm.

I’ve been enjoying my black & white clay marbling technique in creating a new set of birds and nesting bowls, perfect for dipping or trinkets.

See you there

Music, food, fire pit & amazing ceramics
