if you're new to knitting you'll be able to knit this just fine. you might see a lot of tutorials where people have marked every inc/dec row - you can do this - but if you take a little time and learn to read your stitches you'll save yourself time, and gain invaluable knitting knowledge 🧶🪡🩷

it was my greatest game of yarn chicken ever, and i ended up having to splice in a coupe of metres of another similar yarn to make it to the end - but it was successful, and you can't tell (thanks for the tip .dubie.doo 🥰)

this was such a random yarn purchase but i love the colours so much! meant to be 🫶🏻

when i tell you this was a project 🫠 not just about the art, the craft - also about the journey, the learning

last year i spent about 5 months recovering from hip surgery, and during this time i decided to do an embroidery course to give me something to focus on. i chose a course that taught 'painting with thread' with an incredible artist and

i thought it would be a great way to incorporate my love of illustration, painting, and textile art

after many weeks of stitching tiny little marks, learning thread blending techniques, as well as other embroidery techniques like couching and backstitch - i have finished it

it's such a wonderful feeling of accomplishment, and a nice way to close the door on that journey

in typical me fashion im taking off in another creative direction for my next project - but everything creative fuels everything creative - so im one happy maker

it's very nice doing a little 'me' project, even if it's winter themed, in summer 🥲 bless
