Kia ora! To start off 2021, we welcome the Resound Youth Choir Manager/Marketing Assistant Rhiana Merota.

Rhiana is a third year Bachelor of Communication studies student at Auckland University of Technology, majoring in advertising creativity. She is also the recipient of both the Woolf Fisher First in Family scholarship, and KIWA scholarship.

While undertaking this role, Rhiana is also an intern at COMET Auckland, and an oceanian navigator in the AUT (Auckland University of Technology) oceanian leadership network.

Rhiana’s musical journey began in primary school, learning various instruments. During her time at Westlake Girls High School, she sang in En Masse, Cantare and Choralation choirs, venturing on a Brisbane tour in 2017, and an Italy tour in 2018. In addition to this, Rhiana spent four years teaching keyboard at the Mid-Bays Music School from 2017 - 2020. Rhiana currently sings with the AUT Oceanian Voices Choir and the Auckland Youth Choir which toured to Sydney in 2019.

ANNUAL SHOWCASE CONCERT 2020 CANCELLED
Well this year has just not quite worked out has it? And with the further extension of Level 2.5 in Auckland, we have no choice but to cancel our Annual Showcase Concert for 2020.
We were so so close on a couple of occasions but it was just not meant to be. Tickets will be refunded in the next week.

We would like to thank you all for your support this year and for joining us online for rehearsals.
We have an idea for a ‘performance’ for next term so watch this space!
Thanks again and we hope to see you in-person soon!!
