Shauntelle Jones - it was as obvious as the sky is above us that you were a super talent from the second I met you as a 15 year old Year 10.

I was beyond thrilled to be reviewing the pro-show that you are currently in,
Tadpole Productions ‘The Surprise Party’ at Pumphouse Theatre Takapuna.
A magnificent ‘must-see’ play.

It hasn’t been easy getting back into being ‘out in the world’ since losing my precious Sophie but I remembered her saying when she was in ‘High School Blues’ that she had never laughed so much being on stage with you - and off💜

I’m beyond proud of you and had a tear in my eye as I was telling Louise Wallace how I knew you. Sir Roger Hall was behind me and I recognised many of our finest ‘theatre people’ in the audience including Alistair Grainger and Simon Praast. You so deserved to be on that stage.

My heart swelled knowing that you were with some of our finest on stage and Colin McColl directing you.

You make the world shine⭐️💜⭐️

COURAGE

When the worst possible thing that could possibly happen, happens, it changes the trajectory of your life - in this case - my life.

There are so many things I once feared but now I do not.

I’m a worrier - well I was.
I was very good at it and so I should have been as I’d cultivated it for decades. I remember as a 4 year old waking up in the night full of ‘what if’ fear and most nights since that first memory.

However, the tragic passing of my daughter has changed that.

I’m now armed with her bravery, her legacy of being genuinely great at what she did and inspiring others to be the same. Her strength to mow through difficulties and create opportunities was incredible and she showed us how it was possible.

And there’s my burning desire to make the world a better place through empowering others with ‘words that work’ - anchoring ourselves in our values and living them - without fear.

I’m not here to get attention, I’m here to give it so you can make those significant but subtle changes to move from ‘here’ to ‘there’ and from ‘stuck’ to ‘success’.

LINKEDIN LOCKOUT

I’ve been locked out of my LinkedIn account for several months, and I’m hoping someone may be able to help.

Between November and March last year, my account was repeatedly hacked. I managed to regain access once, only for it to be compromised again.

I received email notifications that people in Denmark, Los Angeles, Auckland and Christchurch had changed my profile picture and other details. I was not in any of those locations at the time—and I’ve never been to Denmark.

I reported these incidents to LinkedIn, but unfortunately received no response.

It would also appear that the phone number on my account was changed, meaning that verification codes are being sent to someone else.

My account has remained restricted ever since, leaving me unable to access it. As a professional speaker, I rely on Linkedin to connect with clients, share my work and generate speaking opportunities. This has directly affected my ability to do business.

The profile is currently inaccessible, but this is the account I’m trying to recover.

I’ve tried the normal support channels without success. If anyone has experienced something similar, knows how to escalate an account-recovery issue, or can help bring this to LinkedIn’s attention, I would be extremely grateful.

It’s been a very tough year and ‘this’ is indeed a hassle I could do without.

GRATEFUL

So so grateful for the care and friendship of these beautiful women who have given me so much aroha💜

I met this wonderful group of inspirational women a few years ago when they were organising their annual cancer fundraiser and asked me to speak/MC at it. We’ve formed a special connection ever since.

I’m deeply grateful for each one of these magnificent women; for taking me out for dinner, the beautiful bunches of flowers, shouting me a beautiful meal, taking me to the Takapuna Tea place as a bonus. Your fascinating stories, your strength and resilience and all round wonderful GOODNESS as human beings that you have so freely given me has taken some of the pain out of my journey🙏

You, along with all the beautiful people who have checked in, stayed with me, arrived to fill in an evening - spoken about Sophie with such reverence and honour, I will forever be indebted to you all.
Family, friends and caring colleagues all freely sharing loving human connection is ‘everything’🙏💜🙏
