💔 OUR SAUSAGE SIZZLE DIDN’T GO TO PLAN, BUT YOU CAN STILL SUPPORT US!

Today, our team arrived ready for our sausage sizzle fundraiser, with food, homemade baking and everything prepared. Unfortunately, our booking at Bunnings was double-booked, and another charity was already setting up.

We are disappointed, but we won’t let this setback stop us! 💪

🚐💙 SPECTROOM CONNECT is our Mobile Sensory Unit & Disability Outreach Services project, bringing sensory experiences, inclusion and support to children with disabilities and their whānau.

A HUGE THANK YOU TO New Zealand Community Trust (NZCT)! 🚐🌈

SPECTROOM Charitable Trust is incredibly grateful to New Zealand Community Trust (NZCT) for their generous $10,750 grant supporting the purchase and fit-out of our new SPECTROOM CONNECT Mobile Sensory Unit.

This incredible support is helping us bring sensory support directly into our communities across Auckland.

SPECTROOM CONNECT will provide a safe, quiet and climate-controlled sensory space where autistic people and people with disabilities of all ages, along with their whānau, can take a break, regulate, recharge and feel safe during busy community events.

Because sometimes the world gets too loud, too busy and too overwhelming , and everyone deserves somewhere safe to pause.

A huge ngā mihi nui to the wonderful Māngere Bridge Neurodiverse Playgroup for welcoming us and giving SPECTROOM a place to connect with whānau on the last Friday of every month! ✨

Think of it as our little monthly tradition : The last Friday of the month = PLAY, CONNECT & BELONG! 🎉
