Discover What’s New This Term👀✨⬇️

🌱 Absolute Beginner Ballet Course (Sunday 2pm)
Due to popular demand, this course now runs every term! You can view our full yearly schedule on our website and sign up via the link in bio.

🌿 Beginner Continuation Ballet Course (Sunday 2pm)
Created in response to feedback from our students, this course is designed to provide a smoother transition from the Absolute Beginner to Beginner level. It helps you feel confident, capable, and well-prepared for the next step. This course also runs every term.

🩰 Beginner Pointe (Monday 7:30pm)
We are also introducing a new beginner pointe class!
This is ideal for dancers who are starting pointe training or want to strengthen and solidify their foundational technique before progressing further.

⭐️Intermediate / Advanced Ballet (Friday 10am)
We will move to a new location, Wellesley Studios in the CBD. Adult dancers, returning dancers, freelancers, dance teachers, and choreographers are all welcome!

This term, our Upper Beginner class has been working on this short dance to the music “I will wait for you”, the theme song from the famous 1964 French film “Les Parapluies de Cherbourg (The Umbrellas of Cherbourg)”☂️

This piece was choreographed using key steps for this class level to reflect the film’s sentimental and romantic story, which is quietly heartbreaking and and filled with a sense of suspended longing💔

🩰This workshop is for dancers who wish to begin pointe training soon.

It is a follow-up workshop for the workshop we held in January, but if you didn’t attend the first one, you’re still very welcome to join.

💛During the workshop, you will be assessed on your progress and readiness for pointe work. You will also learn how to select your first pair of pointe shoes, what to look for during a fitting, and how to prepare your shoes.

🍀After the Workshop:
From 4 May, we’re excited to launch a new Beginner Pointe class on Mondays, 7:30–8:30pm at Wellesley Studios (Auckland CBD).

You’re also very welcome to attend this workshop if you’re hoping to begin pointe work at another studio.

Designed for pre-intermediate level dancers, this class breaks down essential intermediate-level ballet techniques, while also exploring artistic expression.

By focusing in detail on these steps, the class aims to refine your understanding and ex*****on, empowering you to feel more confident and expressive in other open classes.

⭐️Here is our yearly plan

🩰Term 1: Classes will run as regular technique classes. However, if you’re interested in performing, we strongly recommend starting this class in Term 1, as it allows us to cast you in a piece that best suits your level and strengths.

Dancers who do not wish to perform are still very welcome to join and enjoy the class.

🩰Term 2: Regular classes continue, with some choreography for the show introduced. Dancers who wish to perform must enroll for the term. Non-performing dancers are still very welcome.

🩰Term 3: Classes will consist of barre work followed by rehearsal. Dancers who wish to perform must attend at least 8 out of 10 classes and be available for:
* Dress rehearsal: Friday evening, 25 September
* Performance day: Saturday, 26 September (all day)

🩰Term 4: Regular classes resume.

👀What’s new?

⭐️Beginner / Basic Classes now have a casual attendance option✨

We know many of you have busy or changing schedules. To offer more flexibility, we now provide single drop-in and 10-class pass, which can be used across all beginner and basic level classes, alongside term enrolment.

If you stopped attending because casual options weren’t available, we’d love to welcome you back to class 🩰

⭐️Wednesday 6pm Pre-Intermediate Class - Performance Pathway

In Term 2 & 3, this class will become a rehearsal-focused class for dancers who wish to participate in our September show!

In Term 1, classes will run as regular technique classes. But if you’re interested in performing, we strongly recommend starting this class now, as it allows us to cast you in a piece that best suits your level and strengths.

Dancers who are not keen to perform are still very welcome to join and enjoy the class.
