One dog. One BONE. Lovely to live with this image again for a few days before she packed off to her new home. Photographed a lifetime ago, in a land far far away, it was like having an old friend stop by the studio for a visit. 🖤

This woman is home. Helping the kid with homework, doing laundry, making lunches, walking the dog if she's lucky. Seems only fitting to announce my upcoming solo exhibition, Domesticated, is opening with Sanderson Contemporary on 29 April! 💃🏽 And to all the women juggling all the balls... Happy International Women's Day!

The Morphologies exhibition tour has begun, moving further north from St. Paul, MN to Fargo, ND. Now showing at the Plains Art Museum through May 25th, grateful to the Johns of Fargo for their thoughtful coverage of the exhibition.

Join Studio D3 artists for an Artist Talk and Open Studio Tour in support of our current exhibition – Momentum. The talk will take place at 10am with artist studios open for viewing until 2pm.

The Old Library and my old dog in Fairlie, New Zealand. One of Aotearoa's original 18 Carnegie Libraries, the library opened in January 1913. When I went to photograph there 2015, I was told to expect a burnt out shell. Instead I was served a fine pizza. Happy to report the library turned pizzeria still stands in 2025. Building preservation, with all the toppings please.
Published by in 2016, gift shop has the last few signed copies of As You Will: Carnegie Libraries of the South Pacific.

Works from the new Volume Domesticated series, including these boys and girls, are now on view at Summer Exhibition, through Sunday 2 February.
Along with my view of the sunrise this morning feels somehow fitting. I love this pairing because it drives me mad, despite my hunt for the equivalent for the girls — evidently a century ago the boys had all the fun, whilst the girls remained faceless, generic and pretty.
A solo exhibition of the Domesticated series opens in April 2025.
