Melbourne Markets.A small observation having visited some of the more widely known on es this weekend. Queen Victoria markets. We have visited this market over 3 decades seen it go from mainly Australian made or grown to Import heaven and this weekend somewhere in between. The food hall still fantastic.the produce market great variety.great prices can see why it's so popular The rest of the craft?retail stalls .a complete an utter waste of time. While this won't be popular it's a sad fact if you were looking to see something innovative made in Australia exciting new showcasing Australian anything you didn't find it there today. There were only 2 stalls that actually made you think how did they come up with this .great quality great marketing one sold hats and one bags with the best marketing that went from ribbon s around cards to how finished product delivered .Sadly won't be going back on next trip except to food hall ST KILDA. market.very reduced In stall numbers but stall presentation extremely high .engaged stall holders ,some amazing crafts on offer, the Kangaroo Elves absolute works of art.Jewellry in all forms beautifully curated .sublime hats.it really was a meet the makers event. When you left you felt like you had been part of the shared creativity and you had seen some of the best on offer .ARTS CENTRE NOW SOUTH BANK MARKET.again very few stalls think 20,but,each an every one was outstanding ,great products the lovely husband bought a leather man bag, great presentation .loved it .What seeing these did was make one appreciate the quality of NZ markets, how much diversity of craftsmanship they exhibit how we have some of the best most innovative crafts people and organizers.
