I made this planter after I went flying for the first time in a while. I'm always itching to be back up there.
Pic is of me with my family friend, Woodsie, in the Stearman that my parents had for 40 odd years. The Stearman is a decommissioned WW2 biplane that my dad first purchased in the Philippines, then shipped to Hawai'i and 12 years later, deconstructed again to ship to New Zealand. He also restored it to the original colors. The plane was my father's wedding gift to my mom and they often flew it together, doing many loop-de-loops. It's now owned by a syndicate and lives at

Just wanted to share some footage from the final workshop at Ed Street! It’s always so cool to see people enjoying working in clay, especially if they haven’t tried it before.
I have so much gratitude for local venues Ed Street and Cafe Queen who have been amazing collaborators, providing so much atmosphere and hospitality to these clay sessions.
