Every work in Loveletters from Nowhere begins somewhere specific, a place, a person, a memory. It's not about the viewer knowing the story behind each painting. Instead, the landscapes leave space for the viewer to create their own.⁠

Tomorrow is the final day to view Gabriella Voogts solo exhibition The Garden Within at our Herne Bay gallery. It has been such a treat to have these gorgeous works on our walls.

We're thrilled to announce that Gabriella will be coming on board as one of our represented artists, which means you will get to experience and purchase artworks by her at the gallery going forward.

Many admirers missed out on a piece this time around, rest assured new works will be coming, and if you're on our list we'll let you know when they arrive.

Pop in tomorrow to view before they are wrapped and off to their new homes.

In Sean Beldon's landscapes, familiar New Zealand scenes become something more elusive.

Restrained colour, layered surfaces and expansive space create paintings that sit somewhere between memory and reality.

Rather than telling us exactly what we are looking at, there is room for the viewer to bring their own memories to the work.

Each artwork has a stillness and calm to it, reflective of the theme if part two: The Quiet

"I love the soft, flowing shapes. I like that flowers don’t have to be painted realistically and can be simplified into something that still feels like a flower. They give me the freedom to play with colour and create forms in my own way."
