πŸ’° If only our bank accounts doubled this easily in real life! ✨️

Our Boosted x Moana fundraiser is well underway, but we still need your help to get us across the finish line to Switzerland πŸ‡¨πŸ‡πŸŒΊβœˆοΈ

The best part? Every dollar you donate gets MATCHED by Boosted.

πŸ’΅ $2 becomes $4
πŸ’΅ $5 becomes $10
πŸ’΅ $50 becomes $100
πŸ’΅ $300 becomes $600

You get the idea! πŸ‘€

Whether it's $1, $2, $20, or your long-lost millionaire Uncle Tioki's spare $5,000, every single dollar helps our team get one step closer to representing our Cook Islands culture on the world stage πŸ‡¨πŸ‡°

Our donation page is moving a little slower than we'd like, so we're calling on our village to help give it a nudge. ❀️

Click the link, aroro, and tauturu if you can. If you're not in a position to donate, sharing this post is just as appreciated πŸ™πŸ½ Meitaki atupaka to everyone that's donated so far!

As we wrap up Samoan Language Week, we're shining the spotlight on our very own drummer, Carlos. πŸ₯πŸ‡ΌπŸ‡Έ

Since joining us, Carlos has embraced Cook Islands culture with enthusiasm, respect, and a genuine love for learning. It's always inspiring to see someone from another culture not only appreciate our traditions but become such a valued part of our whānau.

Today, Carlos shares a little of his own heritage and native tongue with us as we celebrate the beauty of language, culture, and connection across the Pacific.

Fa'afetai tele lava, Carlos, for sharing a piece of Samoa with us all.

Happy Samoan Language Week! β€οΈπŸ’™πŸ€

πŸš¦πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ THE AMAZING RACE: PAPATOETOE EDITION πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸš¦

What started as a team bonding day quickly turned into a masterclass in selective hearing, creative rule interpretation, and professional-level complaining. 🀣

From questionable shortcuts and suspiciously fast checkpoint arrivals to heated debates about what the rules "actually meant," Te Au o Tama'aru brought the energy from start to finish.

But beyond the laughs, chaos, and good food, the purpose of the day was simple: to strengthen the bonds within our team. Because when we step onto the performance floor together, we want to know that every person beside us has our back- and that we've got theirs too. ❀️

Trust, teamwork, communication, and a whole lot of laughter are what make us stronger, both on and off the stage.

The real winners? The memories we made, the friendships we strengthened, and of course, the kaikai waiting at the finish line 🏁🏁🏁

Here's to growing together, performing together, and succeeding together ❀️

Big ups to our amazing team for pulling through, and our HR/ADMIN extraodinaire Anne for organising the day!

We’re deeply honoured to have been selected by Boosted x Moana, The Arts Foundation Te Tumu Toi, and Creative New Zealand! Out of 60 projects, 9 were chosen - and thankfully. our little Cook Island drums made enough noise to be one of them πŸ‡¨πŸ‡° Meitaki Ma'ata .nz for the hand up πŸ™ŒπŸ½

Now, with Switzerland on the horizon, our travelling tere of pa metua and mapu need our oire/village behind us πŸ™πŸ½ Keep an eye out as we share our journey to bring the rhythm, stories and spirit of the Cook Islands to the international stage at the International Folklore Festival in Fribourg, Switzerland this August. Head over to our Boosted page https://www.thearts.co.nz/boosted/projects/te-au-o-tamaaru-take-on-switzerland to read our story and make a donation big or small to our cause πŸ™πŸ½
