What you can’t see is my hands shaking holding this mic. 🎤

Being on stage is not where I feel most comfortable, but bringing Beauty Nation together mattered more than my nerves, so I did it anyway.

I spoke about letting your own beauty shine, and I think I needed to hear it just as much as anyone in that room. ✨

And I’m not done. I’m determined to bring Beauty Nation back 💫

If you’ve got a dream that scares you a little, this is your sign to chase it. Be brave, take the stage, or the first small step, and dream out loud. The right people will show up beside you. 💜

Grateful for this incredible community, and for the team who stood with me, and made me laugh the second I stepped off that stage.

Remember when…

Beauty Nation was just an idea, hours of conversations, and pages and pages of notes, what could it look like, does New Zealand need this, what does it stand for, how can we do it, will people care, will brands want to be part of it, fear of rejection, fear of failure, what if… all the unknowns

We desperately wanted a team to bring the dream to life, but had to start lean, with no pay, just a desire to create something magical

We had many meetings with brands, business owners, beauty lovers, creators, potential sponsors, friends, industry and event experts, about how it could work, and what would resonate with Kiwi beauty lovers…
