If you are a new, prospective or current parent or student we hope you find the following information about our dance school helpful. Dance Worx Ashburton offers tuition of the highest quality. Our teaching staff are fully qualified and registered with over 50 years of experience. Dance Worx Ashburton trains students to achieve their highest degree of technical ability, while at the same time enco

urages them to have confidence, commitment, respect and fun. We endeavour to ensure that all that participate in our classes enjoy the experience of learning to dance in a safe and caring environment. At Dance Worx Ashburton we maintain a very supportive approach to your child’s learning. Your child is not just a number in a class, but an important member of the dance school and we concern ourselves with your child’s needs. Our focus is on developing confidence and participation, learning new skills the challenge both mind and body – but above all nurturing a passion for dance. Dance Worx Ashburton offers both exam and recreational classes. All students have the opportunity to take exams with our affiliated dance associations based on the syllabus for each discipline we teach or to learn purely for recreation and creative enjoyment. Our diverse range of classes allows students to grow and to continue to move through the school even if their abilities or dance interests change. Dance Worx Ashburton offers classes in Classical Ballet and Jazz Dance and specialises in the teaching of:

Here’s your friendly reminder that some classes of Miss Jessie’s at EA networks and Methven have be canceled due to her involvement with Footloose the Musical with Variety Theatre Ashburton

These classes have not be charged for and were outlined on your invoice at the beginning of the term!

Students 13+ Plus - Syllabus classes or Stretch/Commercial
Junior 5 year olds - Friday 5year olds 3.30 - 4.15
Junior 6 year olds - Mondays and Thursdays
Junior classes for 11-12 year olds - Thursday 5.00 - 5.45

‼️DanceWorx Elite Ballet 2026 Alert ‼️

Due to an unforeseen situation 2026 Elite Ballet Week Day Classes will not commence until the week beginning February Monday 23rd and Saturday morning Preschool Dance Classes will commence on Saturday February 21st .

Would all returning students who have Not Yet notified Charmaine of their intention to return.

Please Do So by PM her on 027 414 2268
Asap please as 2026 class time table is being released on Tuesday February 3rd.

Any Preschool students who wish to return but will be turning 5 in this term please PM Charmaine ASAP please as spaces in Week day classes are becoming limited .

Reminder for our Disco this Friday 7th of November 6-8pm

Reminder that we have unfortunately decided to cancel parents week this week! Classes are still being held, just not for observation :)

📣 Important Update for Dance Worx Families 📣

Due to a large number of absences, the need to fit in some costume try-ons, and because we’d love to keep our show items a surprise for the big stage, we’ve decided to cancel Parent Observation Week this week.

⭐ Classes will still run as usual — so please make sure dancers still come along ready to dance, try on costumes, and keep perfecting those routines!

This is for all Danfe Worx Classes Jazz and Ballet

We appreciate your understanding and can’t wait for you to see all the hard work and magic come together at the Dance Worx Showcase 2025! 💖✨
