Formed in 2010 the Albany Women’s Choir is a multi-cultural community choir which has been under the musical directorship of Margaret Wright, LTCL in Piano and Singing, for the past 15 years. Margaret will be leaving us as MD at the end of 2025.

As a non-auditioned community choir who sing with music in hand we comprise of 20-25 ladies who meet weekly on a Thursday afternoon during school terms at the Holy Cross Church in Albany. We sing with an aim to improve our personal singing, to foster friendships, and to perform a wide variety of music for the enjoyment of ourselves and the local community by way of one or two concerts and various off-site visits to retirement villages each year.

We are now looking for someone to lead us on our next journey.
This position is open to an experienced director or highly skilled musician who is able to lead rehearsals and concerts, be able to step in as rehearsal accompanist if required, select a fun repertoire, and inspire our community choir to give its best.
