नेपाल ललितकला प्रज्ञा–प्रतिष्ठानद्वारा आयोजित “रामानन्द जोशी: नेपाली कलाका उदयमान दृष्टिहरू” शीर्षकको कला–विमर्श कार्यक्रममा – कलाकार, राजा र राज्य व्यवस्था, पौराणिक कला र समाज, कला शिक्षा, विश्वीकरण (globalisation), सम्पदा (heritage) तथा कलाकारको आन्तरिक द्वन्द्व (internal conflict) तथा अवस्था र व्यवस्थासँग जुध्दै कलाकारले खोजेको स्वतन्त्रता जस्ता विषयबाट उत्पन्न रामानन्द जोशीका आधुनिक कला–कृतिहरूमाथि केन्द्रित प्रस्तुति प्रस्तुत गरियो। उक्त प्रस्तुति कला शोधकर्ता, कला इतिहास शिक्षक तथा लेखक प्रणव मान सिंहद्वारा प्रस्तुत गरिएको थियो।
कार्यक्रमको रिसर्च तथा प्रस्तुति सहयोग दिपमाला महर्जनले प्रदान गर्नुभएको थियो भने रामानन्द जोशी अभिलेखको व्यवस्थापन चकशिता राणाले गर्नुभएको थियो।
प्रस्तुतीकरणपछि आयोजित छलफल सत्रमा विशिष्ट कला विद्हरूले समसामयिक नेपाली कला, इतिहास र समाजसँग रामानन्द जोशीका कृतिहरूको सम्बन्धबारे महत्वपूर्ण धारणा तथा प्रतिक्रिया व्यक्त गरे।

The art discourse titled “Ramananda Joshi: Emergent Ideas on Nepali Art,” organized by the Nepal Academy of Fine Arts, was held yesterday, focusing on the modern artworks of Ramananda Joshi shaped by themes such as the artist, king and political system, traditional art and society, art education, globalization, heritage, and the artist’s internal conflicts, and the pursuit of artistic freedom while confronting prevailing conditions and structures. The presentation was delivered by Pranab Man Singh, an art educator and writer. He teaches art history, art theory, and research methods at Kathmandu University’s Department of Art and Design. He currently works at Quixote's Cove as an editor for Safu and Sutra, its publishing imprints. His writings and translations have been published in several books, magazines, and newspapers.
Research and presentation support were provided by Dipmala Maharjan, while the R N Joshi Archive was managed by Chaksh*ta Rana.
Following the presentation, a discussion session was held in which distinguished art scholars shared important insights and responses regarding the relationship between R. N. Joshi’s works and contemporary Nepali art, history, and society. The program offered a significant opportunity to reread and critically reflect on the emerging perspectives of modern Nepali art.
