National Environmental Pollution Control Organization (NEPCO) Nepal as a leading non-profit making organization in solid waste management sectors in Harisiddhi-28, Lalitpur area since 1998 A.D. We work hand in hand in cooperation with communities of Lalitpur achieving milestones anticipated by our determined team. For our performance, we have provided with various supports, awards, and honors from
the government, non governmental and organization from Nepal and India. We have got the award on 5th June 2016, for the environmental conservation and its preservation from the then Prime minister. Our works have been published by many national newspapers in Nepal and India, many times. We have 136900sq.ft of land in Harisiddhi where we have the compost plant. We collect waste from more than 3500 houses. We collect around 5tons of waste every day and make compost manured. of plastic every day and 5000 k.g. of compost manure.We compost, we recycle, reduce and recycle. We have worked with more than 22 municipalities to raise awareness among men and women and children. We have worked with schools too. Nepco teaches people to change the trash in cash and to manage the household. We have awarded women for making compost manure and producing vegetable in the roof of their houses.
