Watched "तिनीहरू"Elephants in the Fog today
A film that brings an untold story of a marginalized and unheard community to the screen, with such honesty, sensitivity and cinematic beauty. Winning the Jury Award at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. A huge salute to director Abinash Bikram Shah for creating something so powerful and distinctive.
And a shout-out to my dear friends Akanchha and Sudam. Incredibly proud of the way you worked so intensely with raw, non-professional actors-training, nurturing and transforming their natural presence into such powerful performances. incredible work of "पिरति" Puusspa Lama Hatts Off.
The climax gave me goosebumps.
I’m wishing Elephants in the Fog many more recognitions and a beautiful journey across international platforms.
I did leave the cinema with a few questions about some of the characters and certain aspects of the plot-and perhaps that is also part of what makes the film touched in the mind.
