Nepali actress Sushma Karki, who has been active in the film industry for a long time, has urged young women to prioritize love, understanding and emotional support over money when choosing a life partner.

Karki, who has been living in Australia for the past few years, made the remarks during an interview while visiting Nepal. Her comments have recently attracted attention on social media.

According to Karki, having a wealthy partner does not necessarily guarantee a happy married life. She advised women to look for someone who genuinely loves them, respects their family, understands them, supports them during difficult times and is willing to forgive their mistakes.

‘Find a man who truly loves you, supports your family, understands you and stands by you through every difficult moment,’ she said.

Bollywood's 'real-life hero' Sonu Sood has returned to India after spearheading a high-stakes flood relief operation in the remote terrains of Nepal. Teaming up with Nepal’s veteran screen villain Rajeev Maharjan, popularly known as ‘Tarzan,’ the duo launched a relentless ground-to-air mission yesterday morning to reach the worst-hit border regions.

The duo kicked off their journey from Kathmandu at 5:00 AM heading towards Nuwakot, but massive landslides and destroyed bridges completely blocked their vehicles.

Responding instantly to the crisis, Nirvan Chaudhary (son of billionaire tycoon Binod Chaudhary) arranged an emergency helicopter, allowing Sonu and Tarzan to fly from Trishuli Bazar directly into the cut-off region of Timure, Rasuwa.Beyond distributing immediate essential supplies, Sonu Sood deeply moved the locals by promising to rebuild permanent houses for the families who lost everything in the floods. ‘For a foreign artist to come here, listen to our pain, and offer to rebuild homes is an incredibly massive gesture,’ an emotional Tarzan shared before the team flew back to Kathmandu, where Sonu immediately boarded his flight back to India.

The bond between Tarzan and Sonu runs deep, having previously shared global screen space alongside Hollywood legend Jackie Chan in the blockbuster Kung Fu Yoga. Tarzan, who has worked in 24 Hindi films, is now officially locked to collaborate with Sonu Sood yet again in his highly anticipated upcoming film 'Nandi', which goes on floors this coming November.

The achievement is even more notable considering how quickly his follower count has grown. Until recently, Suman Kumari Bhagat was among the Nepalis with the highest Facebook following, with more than 4.7 million followers. B***n has now moved ahead of her by roughly 400,000 followers.

B***n’s rise becomes even more striking when compared with his following before becoming prime minister. Just a few months ago, his page had around 3.3 million followers, putting him in the same range as popular Nepali celebrities such as actress Rekha Thapa.

Since taking office, however, B***n’s digital reach has grown rapidly. His publicly disclosed asset details in April 2026 reportedly listed around 4 million Facebook followers. Within just a few months, that figure has climbed past the 5-million mark.

Social media has long been a major part of B***n’s public communication strategy. His posts regularly attract significant engagement through comments, reactions and shares, highlighting the scale of his online influence.

Singer and actor Prakash Saput and his wife Bindu Bohara have appeared together in a music video for the first time.

Released on the occasion of Haritalika Teej, ‘Lali Lapakkai Sari Sapakkai’ features the couple alongside actress Niruta Singh and singer Nisha Sunar.

Prakash and Nisha have lent their voices to the song, with Prakash also handling the lyrics and composition. The video marks the first collaboration between Prakash and Niruta.

Although its original release was postponed due to the floods, the team decided to release the song during the difficult times to spread hope, positivity and empathy.

The video is directed by Sunil Bik, choreographed by Gambhir Bista, shot by Hari Humagain, and edited by Prabin Bhatt.

Before 2015, Sudan Gurung was a DJ, living his life around music and entertainment. But the devastating earthquake changed everything. After a child died in his arms during the rescue efforts, Sudan left music behind and dedicated himself to humanitarian work and disaster response through Hami Nepal.

From the earthquake to the COVID-19 pandemic and numerous other disasters, he spent years working directly in the field. Today, even after taking responsibility as Home Minister, his approach remains the same. Instead of simply sitting behind a desk and giving orders, he chooses to be on the ground, working alongside rescue teams.

Some criticize his field presence as a “stunt,” while others appreciate his hands-on approach. But perhaps for Sudan, every disaster brings back the memory of the child he lost in 2015.
