A glimpse into the creative process of artist Krisha Tamrakar as she develops a new artwork for Conservation Asia Congress Nepal 2026 .

Drawing inspiration from nature, ecology, biodiversity, and the interconnectedness of all living systems, the work reflects on themes of coexistence, balance, resilience, and harmony. Through the traditional block-printing process, each impression becomes a meditation on repetition, growth, and the intricate patterns found within the natural world.

WHERE THE WATER FALLS
An Exhibition by Ohr Marom Munk

Artudio is pleased to present Where the Water Falls, a solo exhibition by Ohr Marom Munk, developed during his residency at the Artudio International Artist Residency (AIAR) in Kathmandu.

Drawing inspiration from Nepal’s ancient "Hiti" water systems, the ceremonial journeys of child priest, and the often-unseen individuals who sustain the fabric of everyday life, the exhibition explores memory, devotion, visibility, and collective responsibility.

Through video, installation, and new media works, Munk reflects on water as both a physical necessity and a symbolic force—carrying history, belief, care, and transformation across generations. Moving between public rituals and hidden infrastructures, Where the Water Falls invites viewers to consider what communities choose to preserve, what they leave behind, and what continues to flow beneath the surface.

Inside the process with our May 2026 AIAR resident artist, Ohr Marom Munk

From wandering through Kathmandu’s streets and gallery spaces to developing ideas within the studio, the residency continues to evolve through observation, conversation, and experimentation. Each encounter becomes part of an expanding visual and emotional archive—shaping new directions within the artist’s ongoing exploration of memory, perception, and digital media.

Residencies are never only about producing work—they are about shifting perspectives, absorbing unfamiliar rhythms, and allowing a place to slowly enter the process. Kathmandu continues to become both backdrop and collaborator within the evolving journey of the artist.
