One of the hardest parts of Mad Honey hunting may not be the climb. It may be knowing where to begin.
Before his feet leave the ground, the hunter has already begun reading the mountain. He knows where the ladder must hold, where his weight can rest, how the wind moves across the cliff, and whether the hive can be reached safely. None of this knowledge came at once. It was learned by watching, climbing, returning and listening to those who came before.
With every harvest of mad honey, he carries that knowledge forward
This is Mad honey hunting in Nepal. Not simply a harvest, but a story passed from one generation to the next.
