, as Industry Partner, in association with the Kitab Yatra Foundation and BP Koirala India-Nepal Foundation (under the aegis of its India–Nepal Centre), co-organised the “KitabJatra New Delhi Festival 2026” on 15 February 2026 at PHD House, New Delhi, further strengthening bilateral cooperation between India and Nepal.

H.E. Shankar Sharma, Ambassador of Nepal to India, graced the occasion as Chief Guest & Keynote Speaker.

Distinguished speakers included Manjeev Puri, Chair, India–Nepal Centre, PHDCCI; Mr Atul K Thakur; Yugal Joshi; Mr Anand Jha (Visa Inc); Ms Akanshya Shah; Mr Nirmal Kanti Bhattacharjee; Mr Tikaram Yatri; Ms Sama Thapa; Nayan Raj Pandey; Amar Neupane; Anurag Basnet; Mahesh Babu Timalsina; Mallika Shakya; Viplob Pratik; Dr Shreedhar Khana; and Mr Rishi Ram Adhikari, Director, Kitab Jatra Festival, along with other eminent authors, journalists, and thought leaders.

The festival celebrated literature, culture, and people-to-people ties, reinforcing the strong India–Nepal partnership.

Kitab Jatra is an annual event of Kitab Yatra Foundation and Kitab Yatra Private Limited that symbolizes and exemplifies the scenario of reading culture in Nepal. Each year Kitab Jatra seeks out and highlights the incredible achievements of authors, publishers and readers as a whole. It is one day full festival of books, discussion series; meet the author, Prem Literary Award Felicitation, Rare book stalls, startup stalls, and many more.

Encourage individuals, organizations, groups, students, startups, entrepreneurs, readers and community in promotion of reading culture in Nepal and its importance. Recognize the significant contributions of individual, organization or group as a role model in the Literature and Education sector.

Kitab Yatra Foundation ( Non-Profit Oriented Company)with collaboration with Kitab Yatra Private Limited came into existence to host various local and national campaigns around various themes or audiences, such as Kitab Jatra, Fellowship Program for the international Enthusiast, Get Pop-Cultured with Kitab Yatra, Summer Reading, Educator Appreciation Days, promotion of reading culture, Programs on development of Libraries and many more. Kitab Yatra Foundation has a strong belief that the positive transformation of the society is hugely dependent on reading habits of an individual. Thus, our objective is to develop and promote the reading culture.

The Festival offers something for just about every age and interest, bringing readers and writers together for inspiration, entertainment and discussion with high profile debates and discussion series with policy makers on education and International delegates. The one-day Kitab Jatra features many of presenting authors, felicitate prominent author who have contributed for the literature in Nepal, Best Seller Book Award, Library making, nearly 30 exhibitors featuring new and rare books, quirky literary curiosities, start-ups and more.
