Balambu is an ancient and historical place called "Bhastipur" located in the western part of Kathmandu that is now part of Chandagiri Municipality-12 in Province No 3
Chala:(Khadga Jatra) is celebrated on the 10th day of Dashain-Dashami (In Newa: Mohani) By the Newa Community as a victory over evil. In this procession, priests/Guthiyaars are dressed up as various Gods and they parade respective areas carrying sacred swords in their hands which is worshipped by the Hindu devotees..
