🌿 Regenerating Communities: Bridging Indigenous Wisdom and Modern Agroforestry .
We are thrilled to introduce sustainable Agroforestry Practices to our beloved partner communities in Mandandeupur and Shankarapur!
At the Himalayan Regenerative Foundation, we believe that true ecological restoration starts from the ground up—with the people who know the land best. This year, our focus is on the conservation of native fruits and flora. Our teams have been hard at work preparing new saplings of different plant species, Rhododendron (our beautiful national flower) and Lapsi (Nepali hog plum).
🌱We have achieved " The 2000 Sapling" Milestone including native Fruits and flower plants and it's conservation .
This season, we are planting and distributing 2,000 saplings across these regions to farmers and community forest groups also planting in Community schools and initiate the essence of Agroforestry to our community kids .This isn't just about putting trees in the ground; it’s an event designed as a powerful exchange of knowledge. We are pairing the deep, generational wisdom of local communities with modern agroforestry demonstrations led by our experts.
Why Agroforestry? 🌍
Integrating trees and shrubs into crop and livestock systems creates a resilient, self-sustaining ecosystem . By adopting these practices, Mandandeupur and Shankarapur will unlock incredible benefits:
Soil & Water Restoration: Tree roots stabilize the soil, prevent erosion on hilly terrains, and drastically improve water retention.
Biodiversity Boost: Planting native species like Rhododendron and Lapsi restores local habitats and invites back vital pollinators.
Climate Resilience: Agroforestry acts as a natural carbon sink while shielding crops from extreme weather events.
Economic Empowerment: Native fruits like Lapsi offer sustainable, long-term income streams for local farmers through diverse harvests.
Together, We Regenerate 🤝
This journey is fueled entirely by community participation. When local hands lead the planting, the roots run deeper, and the impact lasts longer.
A huge thank you to our incredible community partners for walking this path with us. Let’s grow a greener, more resilient future together!

The modern classroom has no walls. When we look at the future of education, the most powerful textbook isn't a digital screen—it’s the living, breathing community that surrounds us.
At Himalayan Regenerative Tourism, Nepal (HRT), we believe that true education is a flow of energy that moves in all directions. It is not just about what a school gives to a community, but the profound wisdom it receives in return.
Our communities are woven from delicate, culturally rich threads—social, environmental, and economic fabrics that connect us across borders. To engage with a community is to step into a space of deep synergy where the learning is unmatched.
➡️ It is here that we witness:
Indigenous Wisdom: Learning from traditional Himalayan knowledge to solve modern climate, migration, education, equality , tourism, conservation and its intersections.
Circular Economies: Seeing how a 32-woman cooperative in Dhoksan,Nepal, transforms "waste into treasure," teaching students the true meaning of value.
Ecological Stewardship: Recognizing that supporting a local school like Shiladevi is not just an act of charity, but an investment in our shared global ecology.
✌ The Educator as an Active Agent
To Higher Leadership and Educators: The Educators’ Experiential Program is more than a journey; it is the ultimate tool for global education. This wisdom can only be received when we open our hearts with hope and positivity toward hashtag .
By participating, you don't just teach; you act as an active agent of knowledge sharing, creating a platform where different people from across the world learn from each other to support the entire ecology of the world.

We invite you to step beyond the curriculum and into the community. Let us practice, celebrate, and learn together.

We’ve just wrapped up an inspiring and deeply engaging Q&A session on our Educators Experiential Programs and what an incredible space it was.

A heartfelt thank you to all the participations from different International schools who joined us from around the world. Your insights, questions, and shared experiences made this conversation truly meaningful.

This is just the beginning. We’re excited to continue co-creating programs where students don’t just observe change—they actively contribute to restoring communities and ecosystems.

If you missed the session and would like to learn more about the Experiential Educators program and meaningful community collaboration in Nepal, feel free to reach out.

Are you ready to re-imagine what community collaboration can truly be?

It’s time to move beyond the traditional “service project” and toward deep, systemic partnership. At Himalayan Regenerative Tourism, we believe that education should be a force for restoration—not just for the student, but for the land and the people they visit.

Join our Online Info Session & Q/A tomorrow to see how we are co-creating experiential learning journeys in Nepal that focus on three powerful questions.

1- How can tourism protect Nepal’s cultural heritage and ecosystems while strengthening local communities?
2- What can regenerative farming and resilient crops teach us about protecting food and water in a changing climate?
3- How are women and girls reshaping economic, social and leadership roles as migration transforms rural communities?

TOMORROW, Saturday, March 21st

Connecting with IB Coordinators, University Professors, and School Leaders.

I am hosting a global Q&A session to discuss our 2026 Educators Experiential Programs and how we integrate Ecosystem-Based Adaptation (EbA) with indigenous knowledge.
We will dive into the 6 pillars of climate adaptive challenges:
Climate & Conservation: Restoring biodiversity through native wisdom and what can regenerative farming and resilient crops teach us about protecting food and water in a changing climate?

Migration & Equality: How are women and girls reshaping economic, social and leadership roles as migration transforms rural communities? How community-led restoration creates local opportunity and gender-inclusive leadership.

Education & Tourism: How can tourism protect Nepal's cultural heritage and ecosystems while strengthening local communities.Transforming student travel into a tool for systemic change.

As , we often speak to our students about resilience, global citizenship, and environmental stewardship. But how often do we get the chance to step out of the "four walls" of the classroom to deeply embody those values ourselves ?
On behalf of "Himalayan Regenerative Tourism" , I am honoured to invite you, and your fellow educators and CAS Coordinators, to join us for a transformative Professional Learning Journey to Nepal.

Moving Beyond "Charity" to Meaningful Partnership For two decades, we have pioneered experiential programs that shift the narrative. This isn't a traditional tour; it is a hashtag designed to explore the deep wisdom of Nepali communities. Together, we will look at how long-term, reciprocal relationships can foster mutual growth in areas that define our modern world:
Climate
Gender
Education
Migration
Tourism
Conservation
