Guru Nyima Özer 🪷

Today marks the anniversary of Guru Nyima Özer, one of the manifestations of Guru Padmasambhava.

The name Nyima Özer, also known as Suryaprabha, means “Ray of the Sun.” This manifestation is associated with the radiant activity of Guru Rinpoche and the transformation of obscurations through the light of wisdom.

According to the Druk Calendar, on the 10th day of the month of the Pig, Guru Padmasambhava transformed a poisonous concoction offered by the Tirthikas into nectar through his miraculous powers, transforming their minds and leading them and their retinues toward the Dharma.

On this auspicious day, we remember Guru Rinpoche and the many forms through which his enlightened activity is represented.

May the light of wisdom shine brightly. 🙏
