On this Dharma Protector Day, I’m reflecting on the indomitable energy of Vajrapani (Bajrapani). As the wielder of the thunderbolt, he represents the power of the enlightened mind to shatter the illusions of ego and fear.
May we all find the inner strength to overcome our obstacles and stay fierce on the path of compassion. 🙏✨

Guru Tsokye Dorje
Guru Tsokye Dorje is another name for Guru Rinpoche. "Tsokye" translates to "Lake Born" or "Born from a Lotus," referring to the legend that Guru Rinpoche was born from a lotus flower in the middle of Lake Dhanakosha in India. "Dorje" means indestructible or diamond-like, symbolizing his unshakeable wisdom and enlightened qualities.

Guru Rinpoche is revered as a highly realized master who brought Buddhism to Tibet in the 8th century. He is considered an emanation of the Buddha Amitabha and recognized as the second Buddha by Tibetan Buddhists. His teachings and spiritual activities were instrumental in establishing Buddhism in Tibet and spreading its influence across the Himalayan region.

Guru Rinpoche's most famous accomplishment is subduing the local deities and negative forces of Tibet, allowing Buddhism to flourish. He is credited with taming the powerful local spirits and converting them into protectors and guardians of the Dharma.

Guru Rinpoche's teachings are encapsulated in various texts known as terma, which were hidden by him and later discovered by his disciples through visions and revelations. These terma texts contain profound teachings on meditation, philosophy, and ritual practices, which form the foundation of Tibetan Buddhism.
