Jeg er en sevlært maler som bor og arbeider på Borøy i Tvedestrand kommune. Det er først og fremst Akryl maleri på lerret eller papir jeg arbeider mest med, men er også glad i å tegne med pastell,kull,blyant og tusj. Jeg liker å eksperimentere med alle mulige gjenstander og materialer som kan lage mønster, tekstur eller merker på lerret eller papir, og målet mitt må være å lage noe som kommunisere
r tilbake til meg og andre. Motivene mine henter jeg fra både fantasi og virkelighet. Noen ganger er det spesielle steder i nærmiljøet som inspirerer meg, andre ganger er det mine egne fabuleringer i skisseblokken som utvikler seg til et maleri. Det hender også at jeg ser eller drømmer farger jeg bare "må male" og som slik blir utgangspunktet for et bilde. Har gjennom 30 år deltatt på mange tegne og male kurs De siste har vært på Nydalen kunstskole i Oslo og Atelier Skogly i Arendal. Vil også nevne at jeg har fagbrev som gullsmed og trebåtbygger. I am an self-taught artist who lives and work on an island in the south coast of Norway. I work mainly with acrylic painting on canvas or paper, but i also love drawing with pastel, coal, pencil and ink. My motivs are both from nature and fantasy. Sometimes it is special places in my local surroundings that inspire me, and other times it is the doodles in my sketch book that develops into artwork. i also get directly inspired by colors i see or dream about that i "must paint" and this develops into a painting. I love to experiment with all kinds of objects and materials that i can use to make texture, pattern or marks on canvas or paper, and my goal must be to make something that communicates back to me and others. I have attended several short term art courses over a 30 year period, most recently at Nydalen Kunstskole in Oslo and Atelier Skogly in Arendal, close to my home. I also have certificates as a goldsmith and wooden boatbuilder.
