In 2025, two of my drawings got to be a part of a transformative art project at Trondheim Cathedral School, KATTA, where tradition meets innovation. The school’s motto, Per ardua ad astra! “Through hard work towards the stars” encourages the students to find your own star, your own goal.

The project revitalised the school’s existing art collection. Twenty selected works have been cleaned, reframed, and placed in new, central locations — creating a dialogue between past and present, history and creativity.

My works were in the company of Ove Stokstad’s graphic work. Not only do we share the love of contrasting Colors but also the knowledge and training in print making techniques. I spent 4 years of bachelors training in printmaking techniques but preferred returning to drawing and exploring other mediums for my higher education.

My work from the series “BELLA”, explores the female body and the deep experience of inhabiting it and importantly familiarising
Oneself with its own skin and living in it, for better or for worse. You could say, One’s body is one’s first home ? Hopefully, the drawings can be a gentle reminder of softness when we view things a little harshly. And if we learn that when we are young, oh how much, of that time spent being critical can be used being at peace or better yet, Kayaking even :p
