Some retrospective photos of CISSI KLEIN videregående skole project in Trondheim, Norway. I created two drawings dedicated to Cissi Klein and her family. They are in different scales and this time using charcoal and graphite together.

The school is having an OPEN DAY on Thursday, September 4th for the public to see these two and other commissioned artworks for the school from 1600- 1800. Inauguration of the art projects with speeches in the «Kantinoteket» is at 1630. I will be there 😊

Several of the artists will be present at the event, and art consultants Anne-Gro Erikstad and Marie Nerland will lead short guided tours for the public.

Artists Jan Freuchen and Linn Pedersen, Ida Madsen Følling and Markus Li Stensrud, Kvae & Bark (Karoline Sætre and Øyvind Novak Jenssen), Trygve Ohren and Charlotte Rostad, Øystein Pålsønn Lønvik, Anders Sletvold Moe, Tuda Muda and Kiyoshi Yamamoto have all created new works of art for the school.

about the drawings:

A year long process that was spent visualising and drawing everything I had absorbed about Cissi Klein, her family, the World War II museum, multiple current wars, the existence and absence of God, violence as a recurring theme, a world with less pain and more love, identifying peace in chaos, and developing a vocabulary of symbols that reflect courage, connection, creation, and the preservation of what is great as it is—something that does not need more to be appreciated.

In the drawing “Past or present,” an Indian scroll painting (pata-chitra) inspired rendition, a surrealist composition emerges that overlaps a timeline between Cissi from the past (her reality) and Cissi from the future (if she had survived). For those unfamiliar, dear Cissi Klein was a 13-year-old Norwegian Jewish girl who was pulled from her classroom in front of classmates and sent to a concentration camp, never to return. Meanwhile, in the drawing “family portrait,” the Klein family is reunited one more time.

🔥COMPLETELY FORGOT TO DROP THIS BALL🔥:

In 2023, I took a tiny step towards my big dream of building a sculpture park someday.

I know nothing about sculptures or parks but have visited many parks and seen many sculptures to know that I love this combination. 2 years ago, I received the Kunst og Kulturstipend from and with that stipend I organised an educational trip to Italy. …⭐️An important part of the itinerary was learning to carve marble ⭐️!

Since I FORGOT TO SHARE THIS EARLIER, I using this opportunity to sow this seed 🌱now with ease and joy, because I have had 2 years to think about it and it feels like the next chapter for me.

The body continues to fascinate me and how it shows up carved on walls across the world, whether it’s a church in Italy, a temple in India or Vigelands Park…..🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸

SO CAN YOU HELP ME look for a teacher in stone/Marble carving (preferably in Trondheim) or elsewhere in Norway 🇳🇴 ???

I miss Inderøy today… On view is “Amongst friends”, some drawings, paintings, sculptures, videos… of all that can be understood as friendship.. if not all, then some of it…

When I was younger, I learnt from Bollywood that “love was friendship”, “pyaar Dosti hai” from my then favourite film, “Kuch Kuch hota hai”.. indirectly translated as “something something happens (inside)” ?? 🤣

Anyways, even though the film hints more on romantic love, than friendship love, the last 5 years have been phenomenal in helping me understand that love and heartbreak can be experienced through friendship as well..

When I was younger, Friendship bands was something special to me because of friendships day… it was a day to celebrate my connections with old and new people with a beaded or braided bracelet.. the sheer quantity of bracelets collected meant I have many friends ! Also this concept became popular because of this film… 👆

While Adult friendships tend to be a bit more complicated..… maybe friendship as a concept is not as complicated and maybe it’s the adults who are.. either ways what a blessing it is to meet your tribe and to love and be loved… but also what a curse to be in a connection that you have outgrown or one that pushes you down…

Just thought of sharing what’s on mind about this exhibition… so presenting the complexities and nuances of becoming and unbecoming friends…

So excited to share these pictures from my ongoing solo exhibition “AMONGST FRIENDS” at

This is from the opening day, and I am so happy that so many of you could join in, be there and participate in the exhibition.

Amongst friends, is an attempt to share the various changing landscapes of a friendship going through good, rocky, soft, cloudy , happy, dull moments… it’s about making friends and just as much about unmaking friends…

how to spot a good friendship from a not so good one ? Trust and distrust…Loving a friend vs falling in love with a friend…..Being happy together and being depressed together…….Venting to a friend……Friends as a life boat vs friends as a stormy sea…..

and my favourite - are my friends a big reflection of me ?

The exhibition consists of paintings done over the last few years reflecting the above, a special invitation to old and new friends with their sculptures, art books and creatures

AND a an site-specific installation titled “CIRCLE OF TRUST”, calling all known and unknown friends to come together, to eat candy, bead, talk, drink juice, talk a little more and then bead again, and hangout, be silly, be serious, laugh, don’t laugh, 🤭 totally up to you…

Never have I ever exhibited at Kunstnernes Hus 🥰🥹🥂

The opening night from 21st March, Kunstnernes Hus, 1900 which entailed three artists, one Sarah, and many warm peoole from different parts of the world.

We had a talk about what’s imporant individually and collectively and my consensus of the conversation was that we all were hoping to find safety… safety in our skin, relationships, our biological s*x and gender, our passports, countries and immediate and distant communities. 🙏

Followed by irresistible mix of music by from the very starting of the evening 🎧🎤🎸 No stone was left unturned.

Thank you KH for being a physical space, a meetin point, a conversation, an audience, a stage, a cinema, a protest , an artist, an observer… but most importantly a platform for freedom of speech.. 🫡

Last week to see the SKI-VM Exhibition at Kjøpmannsgata Ung Kunst, Trondheim :)

I am exhibiting drawings in charcoal and oil pastel from my time in Trondheim between 2019 and 2024 and produced three new works in 2025 or shall I say three new Tarot cards inspired by “Faith”, the Art prize for SKI-VM.

The three new Tarot cards are actually a set of a 3 card Tarot reading/prediction - The Past, Present & the Future which are displayed in that order Aspire, Faith and Inspire…

Meaning a goal/seed planted in the past, that you work towards whilst believing in yourself can lead you to fulfilling your dreams and beyond…making you an inspiration to others to do the same for themselves… and this loop repeats itself…

These lovely pictures are from the vibrant and busy opening day of the VM-Utstillingen on 17th January,2025.

And the Installation is complete at Kunstnernes Hus ! And «BLINK» is on view from 14th of March, 11am , with the official opening and party on 21st of March, 1900…

Standing here is Claude (left) and Monet (right), haha, Sarah and me wearing our Monet Sweatshirts… it’s been the best couple of days in Oslo, the team at KH is AMAZING 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩! Made the whole process seem like a piece of cake with super positive vibes.. 🌼🌼🌼

And this time uploading pictures from the installation in reverse, “BLINK” from now and “BLINK” when it came from Trondheim a few days ago (Thanks to Nora )and towards the end, the conception of “BLINK” at the Kunst Akademiet i Trondheim in 2020..

We have come a long way… but what a journey it’s been.

VM-kunstnere overtar GRÅNASEN ♥️🥹🫡

Yesterday, Cathrine and Elizabeth from .u.k_ungkunst organised SKI-VM artists visit to the FIS Nordic World Ski Championship ! And it was INCREDIBLE !

We wittnessed Norway bagging not one but many golds the same day ! And even though it was raining and snowing non-stop all day all night, it didn’t stop the thousands of people from showing up and supporting their favourite teams 🥹🫰♥️

Experiencing sports like this has been phenomenal.. and my favourite part has been learning about the Athletes and their stories which has been truly remarkable and moving.

Also in a remarkable turn off events, I am trusted with the electric ski pole of now 4 times World Ski Champion Johannes Høsflot Klæbo 😭😭by his parents Elisabeth and Haakon(as Per Marius’s suggestion).

Needless to say, I have named the pole Johannes and I will be taking very good care of it.

The day was full of revelations and with every revelation I got a better understanding of life, people, art,snow, ski, Trondheim and the rest of the world.
