Some drawings from my first week of teaching with ! Some super interesting shapes and lines going on from the classes centred around releasing control in your practice and instead concentrating on strengthening the symbiotic relationship of seeing with your eyes and drawing with your hands.

I've noticed that while I'm preaching to people to release control and release any expectations you have about you or your work/any expectations you feel are pushed on you or your work, I have not been practicing what I've been preaching. I can feel a big shift in my practice coming as a result of this (no big deal tho this happens every 12-18 months lol) but the winds of change are blowing wild n free none the less.

Anyways i just wanted to check in and say thank you for all the words of advice and encouragement and to all my lovely friends who supported me when I was super nervous about starting in this role - it is definitely as fulfilling as you all reminded me it would be! Hope yous have a lovely week 💜

As some of you might know, next week I start teaching drawing workshops with n I could just burst with excitement! I've worked towards this for over a year and it's finally coming to fruition after being delayed due to the ongoing panini! The team at outspoken arts have been fab and the artists I'm teaching along side are fab too so go check them out!

Less than a year ago I graduated and now I'm teaching who'd a thunk it! The classes are free and for school leavers or anyone thinking about going to art school! This is the kind of accessibility and community help that gets me super excited n I'm delighted that I've been able to be a part of such an incredible thing so early in my career!
Anyways, I'll do a wee thing in my emails to tell you when I'm not available etc, but also 💫tell ur friends or anyone who wld want to be in the classes💫
