Etterlysning av Inge Pedersens verk

Senter for keramisk kunst etterlyser verk av Inge Pedersen til årets store utstilling om norsk keramikk 1975–2026. Pedersens keramiske produksjon spenner over perioden 1990–2019, og arbeider i større formater — som installasjoner, grupper og lignende — er særlig ønskelige.

Vi søker arbeider i privat eie som kan lånes ut i perioden 1. mai–20. september. Har du verk av Pedersen, hører vi gjerne fra deg innen 15. mars.

Trude Westby Nordmark og Sigve Knutson, tidligere gjestekunstnere ved Monumentalverkstedet, er begge tildelt fem terninger i Stavanger Aftenblad.

Nordmark (f. 1969) stiller ut på Hå gamle prestegard med «Den enes død den annens brød» (24.01–08.03.26). Denne utstillingen er tildelt fem terninger i Stavanger Aftenblad. Anmeldelsen «Når keramikken svinger i rommet» (18. februar), publisert 18. februar.

Flere av verkene i utstillingen er produsert i Monumentalverkstedet våren 2025, blant annet den store røde skulpturen Rotvekst 4 / Root Crop / Descendent og samtlige pidestaller.

Knutson (f. 1991) stiller ut med «Slurry» på Galleri Opdahl (20.02–28.03.26). Skulpturene i utstillingen er produsert i Monumentalverkstedet. Anmeldelsen «Oldtidssamling for samtidskunsten» (25. februar), skrevet av Trond Borgen, gir utstillingen fem terninger.

Trude Westby Nordmark and Sigve Knutson, both former guest artists at Monumental Studio, have each been awarded five dice by Stavanger Aftenblad.

Nordmark (b. 1969) is exhibiting at Hå gamle prestegard with ”One man’s death is another man’s bread” (24 Jan–8 Mar 2026). This exhibition received five dice in Stavanger Aftenblad. The review “Når keramikken svinger i rommet” (18 February), published on 18 February.

Several works in the exhibition were produced at Monumental Studio in spring 2025, including the large red sculpture Rotvekst 4 / Root Crop / Descendent and the plinths.

Knutson (b. 1991) is presenting Slurry at Galleri Opdahl (20 Feb–28 Mar 2026). The sculptures in the exhibition were produced at Monumental Studio. The review “Oldtidssamling for samtidskunsten” (25 February), written by Trond Borgen, awarded the exhibition top marks.

Helen Birgitte Hausland (1974–2026)

Det har vært et privilegium for oss i SKK å samarbeide med Helen Hausland siden hennes MA-studier på KHiO. I 2019 var Helen en av fem inviterte studenter til Raw Clay Project ledet av sørkoreanske Hyang Jong Oh og Nari Kwon. I 2021 deltok Hausland på gruppeutstillingen Made in Ringebu. Vi hadde sett fram til at hun skulle begynne et gjestekunstneropphold på Monumentalverkstedet i februar 2026.

Helen Hauslands kunstneriske virke var i sterk utvikling. Hun hadde mottatt statens 10-årige arbeidsstipend, og hennes arbeider var innkjøpt av blant annet Nasjonalmuseet. Det New York-baserte galleriet Hostler Burrows representerte henne på Ceramic Brussels som en av sine nye, talentfulle kunstnere.

Bortgangen av Helen Birgitte Hausland er et stort tap for norsk kunsthåndverk. Senter for keramisk kunst uttrykker sin dypeste medfølelse med familie, venner og kolleger.

Helen Birgitte Hausland (1974–2026)

It has been a privilege for us at SKK to collaborate with Helen Hausland since her MA studies at the Oslo National Academy of the Arts (KHiO). In 2019, Helen was one of five invited students to participate in the Raw Clay Project, led by the South Korean artists Hyang Jong Oh and Nari Kwon. In 2021, Hausland took part in the group exhibition Made in Ringebu. We had been looking forward to welcoming her as an artist-in-residence at the Monumental Studio in February 2026.

Helen Hausland’s artistic practice was undergoing significant development. She had been awarded the Norwegian Government’s ten-year working grant, and her works were acquired by institutions including the National Museum of Norway. The New York–based gallery Hostler Burrows represented her at Ceramic Brussels as one of its new and promising artists.

The passing of Helen Birgitte Hausland is a great loss to Norwegian craft. The Centre for Ceramic Art extends its deepest condolences to her family, friends, and colleagues.

We are proud to announce that SKK and the Milan-based Fondazione Officine Saffi have entered into a partnership for a guest residency programme awarded to the winner of the AiR Prize of the Officine Saffi Award 6 – Forms of Belonging.
“The theme explores the human need for belonging, questioning how—within an increasingly aggressive social and political context—the material world can become a space of recognition, generate a sense of proximity, and make us feel part of a shared human community.”

The prize winner will be selected through the Officine Saffi Award exhibition at Fondazione Officine Saffi.
