Lia Rodrigues, , é uma artista e mentora de workshops com experiência em projetos artísticos colaborativos. Nascida e residente em Faro, começou a explorar a arte da colagem em 2018, durante uma das suas estadias em França. Desde então, tem aprofundado a criação de obras marcadas por influências surrealistas e absurdistas, que convidam a um olhar atento que desvende as suas camadas co

mplexas. Com formação secundária em Artes e uma licenciatura em Publicidade e Marketing pelo Instituto Politécnico de Lisboa, a artista tem investido continuamente no seu desenvolvimento artístico. Complementou a sua formação com cursos online como The Language of Design e Healing with the Arts, ampliando as suas competências e conhecimentos. O seu percurso inclui colaborações com diversas entidades, como a Escola Tomás Cabreira, a loja Konceito R, Amarelarte, Art Haus Club, Associação Ria Inquieta, Centro de Estudos Os Tremocinhos, o Instituto Português da Juventude em Faro e eventos como os festivais Açoteias e Algarve Design Meeting. Foi selecionada para o Programa Emergente em 2024, um apoio à criação e exposição atribuído pelo Município de Faro e Teatro das Figuras. Durante o período de quarentena, fundou a Sociedade Portuguesa de Colagem, uma exposição curada por ela no Instagram, que conecta e promove o trabalho de mais de 40 colagistas portugueses ou residentes em Portugal. Além disso, nos workshops de colagem que dirige, incentiva a uma abordagem prática e ecológica à criação artística.

𝗔𝗯𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗼𝗶𝘀𝗲

For Day 𝟭𝟲, 𝗧𝗼𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘁 𝗣𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗿, I used satire to reflect on the spectacle of information, power, and illusion.
Figures unfortunately we all know appear wrapped in a visual metaphor that questions 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗻𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲, and the fragile texture of what we are asked to believe.

Let this piece be an invitation to 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 what you see and what you’re shown.

𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵

For Day 9, 𝗕𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 was the theme and I explored the idea of containment and what we choose to preserve
A bottle can hold memory, emotion, intention, or silence

In this collage, the bottle becomes a metaphor for what is kept inside
What is protected, what is hidden, and what waits to be released

𝖂𝖊𝖎𝖌𝖍𝖙 𝖔𝖋 𝕾𝖎𝖑𝖊𝖓𝖈𝖊

For Day 𝟴, 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗲, I explored the contrast between 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗲 and 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲.
A massive concrete structure dominates the space, while a thin trace of human life appears in the corner, almost dissolving into the 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗲.

This piece reflects how overwhelming and suffocating our surroundings can become when infrastructure replaces nature.
A reminder of how easily the human body and spirit are reduced when disconnected from organic 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲, 𝗮𝗶𝗿, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗵𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗺.

For Day 5, 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿, I couldn’t help but connect it to the Tarot card and the meaning it holds
In esoteric terms, the Star represents hope, inspiration, renewal, and spiritual clarity
It is a reminder that even after challenges, guidance and light are available to help us 𝖍𝖊𝖆𝖑 𝖆𝖓𝖉 𝖌𝖗𝖔𝖜

In my collage, the star becomes a symbol of aspiration and connection with the higher self
A quiet invitation to trust the flow of life and to find clarity amid chaos

𝕾𝖕𝖎𝖗𝖆𝖑 𝕲𝖗𝖔𝖜𝖙𝖍

For Day 4, 𝗕𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗶, I explored something I deeply enjoy combining in my collages: the Fibonacci sequence.
The natural spirals of the broccoli became a visual playground to reflect harmony, rhythm, and the hidden mathematics of growth.

This piece is about how patterns in nature guide transformation, reminding us that evolution (emotional, physical, mental, or spiritual) often follows curves we cannot always predict but can recognize.
Sometimes beauty is found in the logic of the universe as much as in its 𝖈𝖍𝖆𝖔𝖘.

For Day 3, 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝘁, I explored a darker, more gothic side of movement and form.
Inspired by the haunting intensity of Black Swan, this piece captures tension, fragility, and the duality of grace and obsession.

The collage becomes a space where elegance meets shadow, where action and vulnerability meet, and where transformation emerges through contrast and struggle.
Sometimes beauty is not just in lightness, but in the shadows that 𝖘𝖍𝖆𝖕𝖊 𝖎𝖙.

𝕰𝖉𝖎𝖇𝖑𝖊 𝕸𝖆𝖘𝖐𝖘

For Day 2, 𝗧𝗼𝗮𝘀𝘁, I stepped far outside my usual visual language.
I would never naturally choose toast as an object or cutout in a collage, which is exactly why this felt so interesting to explore.

By digitally placing a slice of toast over a young girl’s face, the image becomes a quiet disruption.
A gesture that speaks about identity, consumption, absurdity, and the way everyday objects can 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗿𝘂𝗽𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝘆, 𝗼𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.
Sometimes it is in discomfort and resistance that new visual paths open.

𝖂𝖍𝖊𝖓 𝖋𝖔𝖗𝖒 𝖈𝖆𝖓 𝖓𝖔 𝖑𝖔𝖓𝖌𝖊𝖗 𝖍𝖔𝖑𝖉

I’m taking part in the international collage challenge curated by , and I truly love this initiative. It brings together and introduces us to hundreds, even thousands of collage artists from all over the world, all playing, experimenting, and creating together. 🌍

For Day 1, 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗺, I returned to something I deeply love but haven’t explored in my collages for quite some time: 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗮 𝗼𝗳 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻.
Not as destruction, but as 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, the necessary alchemy for us to evolve on every level: 𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹, 𝗽𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹, 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹.
Sometimes growth needs a 𝖇𝖆𝖓𝖌. 💥

Today I’m closing January with 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 digital playful experiments created from the official image.
Three visual interpretations, three different energies, all starting from the same source 🧡

Tomorrow a full month of daily creation begins, and I’m genuinely excited to step into this collective artistic flow.
A month of 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘂𝗻𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀. 💥✨ Can't waittt

𝙃𝙤𝙬 𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙮 𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙝𝙨 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙗𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙘𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙖𝙜𝙚 𝙨𝙘𝙚𝙣𝙚? ⏳✨
𝙈𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙝𝙨?
Oh… 𝙡𝙚𝙩’𝙨 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙖 𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙮 𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚. 📖💭

It started back in 𝟮𝟬𝟭𝟴! Scissors, paper, intuition, and a lot of curiosity.
Since then, collage has been my way of making sense of time, memories, and change.
From late nights cutting and pasting, to sharing work, meeting people, teaching, learning, unlearning…
Here we are, 𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿, with that soft nostalgia in the air and a heart full of fragments that somehow fit together. 🍂💌

The horizon is where the sky kisses the sea—an endless expanse of possibility. I feel deeply connected to the ocean, so this digital collage reflects that boundless, ever-changing energy. A place where dreams drift and new journeys begin.

Februllage is a creative challenge that takes place every February, blending 𝘍𝘦𝘣𝘳𝘶𝘢𝘳𝘺 and 𝘤𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘢𝘨𝘦 to connect inspire artists to create daily collages based on a set list of themes.
