Oslo Art Guide is an exhibition guide for contemporary art in Oslo. The guide takes the form of a paper guide, a website and a web application. Oslo Art Guide aims to be a tool of high quality that provides both a professional and general audience an overview of the current contemporary art scene in Oslo. In the recent years Oslo has become an important centre for contemporary art, with many Norwegian and international artists establishing themselves in the city of Oslo. At the same time numerous exhibition spaces have been opening up and Norway has become recognized as a country that brings forward artists of international reputation. However, the visibility of this art scene has up until now been scarce and difficult to grasp, especially within the city of Oslo. OAG will be a guide for the local audience but also an important tool for an international professional and general art-loving audience. The guide is an initiative by several local art professionals who also wish to create a network and dialogue amongst Oslo's contemporary art institutions. Short information on Oslo Art Guide.:
