Ten Dreams. One Mountain. No One Returned. 🕊️💔
The global mountaineering community is mourning after a devastating avalanche on Pakistan's Broad Peak claimed the lives of 10 climbers from six countries, including six Nepali mountaineers.
Those we remember:
* Nirmal "Nims" Purja (Nepal)
* Pur Bahadur Gurung "Yukta" (Nepal)
* Nima Sherpa (Nepal)
* Kili Pemba Sherpa "Kilu" (Nepal)
* Gyalu Sherpa (Nepal)
* Nawang Thindu Sherpa (Nepal)
* Sohail Sakhi (Pakistan)
* Mallory Geis (United States)
* Nadhira Al Harthy (Oman)
* Liu Jiaqi (China)
What began as a shared dream to climb one of the world's highest peaks ended in unimaginable tragedy. Their loss has left families, friends, and the global climbing community in mourning, while their courage and legacy will never be forgotten.
May they all rest in peace. 🕊️🏔️💔
