Utstillingen Made in China åpner nå på lørdag hos Spill the Tea i Oslo.

Velkommen innom kl 11 for lansering og en smak te 🌿

Utstillingen viser håndlaget teservise i porselen laget av keramiker Line Blom under et opphold i Jingdezhen i Kina. Serien er laget i forbindelse med et byggeprosjekt av en vedfyrt keramikkovn.

Salgsutstillingen står fra 11. - 25. april.

Fairness cup in "jade" porcelain. This porcelain clay is formulated so that the particles melt a little bit more together and form a more glass-like ceramic that lets the light pass through thin walls. I made these fairness cups thin and unglazed to brighten up and enhance the colour of the tea 🌿

yellow is my new favorite colour 🌞(sorry, green)
I had fun creating these small cake platters for myself. I got to try out all different rim alterations, and glazed it in this new glaze I formulated through several rounds of testing. I'm obsessed with the colour, didn't know iron oxide could give such clear yellow, and the subtle hue goes so well with food. What do you think?

my apprenticeship teacher Edith taught me that even if you rarely see it, a beautiful finish of the foot is part of a potter’s pride. So yes - I try to serve you some nice bottoms.

btw, I love it when the glaze gets caught in my signature like this. It doesn’t happen very often, since it’s usually wiped away as I clean the foot before firing.

Ash deposits from wood fire melting and forming a surprising glaze. I suspect the blue spots to be cobalt from one of the other pots in the kiln, might have fallen into my bowl during stacking or dripping/spitting from a very fluid glaze during firing. Anyhow I think they're cute 😅🌟
